This small flat cake or starter plate is the cousin of the classic cake / starter plate from the Stripes collection - similar in size and shape, but with your own word stamped on it.
During confinement, I'm offering free personalisation on all the Lockdown Specials collection, so you can make me stamp whatever you miss the most/your new confinement habits on a plate as a cheeky souvenir. Which team are you on?
- Missing “French kiss”, “I wanna hold your hand", “travel”, “hugs and kisses”, “verre en terrasse", "pub night", "BBQ in the park”, “no milk today”…?
- Enjoying “house party drinks”, “virtual dates”, “no need to dress up”, “WFH”, “all by myself”, "home alone"…?
You tell me, I'll make it! For every order from the Lockdown Specials, I will donate 50% to NHS Charities Together.
The stamps used are all lower-case. For optimal reading, your text shouldn't be more than 20 characters long.
The pieces will be made to order.
During this exceptional COVID-19 lockdown period, your orders will be fired and glazed first thing after our liberation and I will of course keep you posted as soon as they are ready to be collected/shipped.
If you have any questions, please do get in touch before purchasing the item.
Personalised items will obviously be made to order just for you. Therefore, I am unfortunately unable to offer any return or refund on these.
Approximate diameter: 16 cm
Approximate weight: 230 g
Each piece is handmade and therefore different. These dimensions are provided as a guide, on an indicative basis. They will most certainly vary slightly from one piece to the other.
- Bruised peach: the very essence of cloudy white, an iridescent glaze full of nuances, playing with the natural colour of the clay.
- Matt white: a beautifully simple matt white glaze with its very own life and aspirations, resulting in natural drips and changing thickness.
The glazes used are food-safe. The back is kept unglazed for a natural and modern look.
Please note the "I wanna hold your hand" plate in the cover picture shows the natural colour of the stoneware before going to bisque firing. To have a better idea of the finished product, please refer to the following pictures.
All tableware is food and dishwasher safe, however hand washing will extend the life of your pieces.
Ceramics shouldn't be exposed to rapid temperature changes. Use in microwaves is not recommended, as there is the chance of cracking.
Each piece has its own character, with beautiful imperfections, as they are all hand built in my East London studio, before going through two high-temperature kiln firings. I use recycled stoneware, so little speckles and nuances may appear from time to time, that's the beauty of it.
